Vale Alan Pentecost
30/01/1953 - 3/5/2025
On Saturday the 3rd of May Alan Pentecost passed away. Alan was an influential and dedicated member of the Cubby House Family. He joined the club on 1st of January 1997 and quickly became an integral member of our general committee.
In addition, Alan was the driving force behind instruction in the use of and the general maintenance of our equipment. He had a comprehensive knowledge of every piece of Cubby House machinery.
Alan was always ready and willing to help with any project, often at the expense of his own project. Always the official photographer, Alan was an eager helper at events.
We will miss his words of wisdom, some of which are:
On sunny days with clear sky’s - the day is magic.
2 Brains are better than one and you’ll sort it out.
And our favourite, if you needed to cut a bit more off something, it was always “we just need to take either a poofteinth or half a pooftienth more off”
Alan didn't hate many things, just windy days, which he hated with a passion!
Alan was an integral part of the Cubby house, we will sorely miss him.
The club expresses its condolences to Ann, Beth (and Molly), Clare, son in law Stephen and grandson Charlie
A memorial will be held at the Cubby House on Sunday the 25th of May commencing at 11.00am. Please let advise if you are will be attending (if you have not already done so) by replying to secretary@oysterbaycubbyhouse.com.au
